Chad is a super guy and deserves a shampoo that is up on his super level. Before he went gluten free his scalp was dry, itchy, and tight feeling. It got better once he cut out gluten. But over the years the issues have arisen again. So I decided to make him his own shampoo that is free of harsh chemicals, I suspect those chemicals are the culprits. Thanks to my fellow "crunchy" internet friends I devised a recipe for him. First I infused calendula, rosemary, rose petals, and plantain leaves. Then I added some tamanu oil, I chose this oil for its anti-microbial properties. And lastly, I added the tea tree, lavender, and rosemary essential oils. The "soap" base is Dr. Bronners in the unscented baby type. I put the soap in quotations, because its technically not a soap since there are no chemical foaming agents in it. If you haven't tried it highly suggest it! Check out their website for all ita uses! I found out a couple years ago that I was allergic to sodium laural/laureth sulfate. Dr. Bronners works wonders for me! Ok enough of that! As you can see in the pictures the final product isnt much to look at, but so far Chad likes it! He wishes it would foam more. So I will tweak that when I make the next batch. Im pretty excited I finally made shampoo! Makes me think, what the heck can I make next! Thanks for reading! :-)
